I'm working to get enough stuff out for all my holiday shows so there will be quite a few kiln reveals coming. I feel like despite the fact that I have so many things that I don't have enough, but we will see as we go into these last 2 shows of the year. Starting today through Sunday December 7-10th I'll be at the Annapolis Holiday Market in downtown Annapolis. Next weekend December 16 and 17 I'll be at the Cloisters Tea and Bazaar. Hope to see you at one of those events!
More squiggle snowmen. There are also a lot of ornaments and magnets in this kiln load. More crabs, always more crabs.
So while I should have been glazing, I was instead making. I made a holly tree. I love how it came out, but now it has to make it through the whole process. I used the cone and sphere molds from Learn Fired Arts as well as the holly leaves.
This Thursday 12/7 through Sunday 12/10 I will be at the Annapolis Holiday Market. I will have lots of crabs with me (see below), but also many other items. Hope to see you there!
Like I said on Saturday this kiln is all crabs. There were actually 2 large platters in the kiln, but I managed to take a picture of the same one twice and already sold the one I don't have a picture of!
Last year I bought a live tree to display my ornaments. It was great, but there were needles everywhere. I still have it, but it's gotten bigger and I wanted a less messy alternative. I bought these Manzanita trees on Etsy and then my husband mounted them to a board so they would stand up. I love how they turned out, but I'm debating spray painting them silver, thoughts?
Don't forget about the Howard County Holiday Mart this Saturday!
Three weekends in a row of shows starts this Saturday December 2nd at the Howard County Holiday Mart. The following week Thursday December 7th through Sunday Decemver 10th I will be at the Annapolis Holiday Market. Finally, on December 16th and 17th I will be at the Cloisters Holiday Bazaar and Tea - make your reservations now for tea if you're interested or just stop by the bazaar.
My favorite thing out of the kiln is the leaf bowl. My two second favorite things are the two platters. I love the green one with it's pattern, but I also love the camping platter. I'm very tempted to take that to our cabin.
