Reminder I will be at the Belle Aire Market tomorrow Sunday June 11th. Come out and see me. I also just added another festival in July in Taneytown on July 22nd.
My hands are really tired from extruding, but I love how this stuff came out.
This is a ghost, but a friend pointed out that it looks like the Harry Pottery Sorting Hat. It does, but totally unintentional.
These will be little candy corn luminaries.
Christmast Tree!
Really happy with all but one thing in this kiln. There were a couple of experiments in here that worked out well. The only thing that didn't work is my bee which is actually ok becuase I'll use it as an experiment for an after glaze effect soon.
I got these sprigs recently from Amazon. One of my coworkers wanted to do a commission in Pewabic style. I had to learn first what Pewabic is and there are a lot of sprigs of ginko and calla lily. I'm already big into calla lilies so I ended up buying them to experiment. I'm still not sure I can make my style of pottery Pewabic, but I do like how these are turning out.
We had a good long weekend at the cabin. The dogs had a lot of fun. We experimented more with letting Willow off the leash and she sort of listened most of the time. She's getting better though. River continued her journey as a water dog. She doesn't want to get wet initially, but once she's wet then it's game on and she'll just keep going in. Both dogs are totally warn out.
I will be at Carroll County Art in the Park this Saturday June 3 and the Belle Aire Market next Sunday June 11.
