There is a whole lot of lavender in here. The word that always comes to mind when I look at these is sweet. I don’t know why that’s the word, but they just feel very sweet.

I’ve always made my lavender mugs shorter in the past, but this year I upgraded them to 16 ounces. Some people might call that a “big” mug, but for me, that’s just normal-sized.

I glazed these and ran the kiln before we left for the cabin. When we got back, I unloaded the kiln and discovered a few mugs where I have absolutely no idea what glaze I used. I don’t write things down anymore because I’m really good at remembering in the short term. Apparently, a long weekend away was enough to completely break that system. 😂

It’s also nice to have more leaf forms ready for the fall shows. They’re so big to store that I usually don’t make the next one until I sell the previous one, which means I’m often out of them. This year, I’m actually ahead of the game, which probably means they’ve immediately gone out of style. 😂

My Sarah Gromek mug came out awesome. My stitching did not magically improve in the kiln, lol, but I absolutely love the shape.
