The trees are fantastic!! I am going to need to drill a few holes where glaze ran on the smaller tree, but it's so awesome anyway. I'm experimenting with some new crab things in this kiln to satisfy the people who feel the need to tell me that Maryland crabs are blue and not red. I'm not going to stop making the red crabs, but wanted to have an alternative. I think I'm narrowing in on an option.
I saw a picture of a granny square ornament a few weeks back and thought - I can do that! I took some extra yarn to a show and tried it. The individual pics are wip before they were fully finished. It's just two small granny squares sewn together and pulled tight at the top.
Which is your favorite?

This is leftover from a blanket I made a few years ago
This is from a shawl I made years ago
This kiln is a mismatch of things as I am trying to get things ready for shows. I generally like to glaze all things in the same color at the same time, but having the right pieces for shows seemed more prudent so I'vebeen doing things in batches. This has the last of the camping things I made a while ago and the first of the lavender I made after I scoured the studio plus a few things in between. Home stretch for the holidays now.
This has the last of the hanging Christmas ornaments. The Sanbao tree thingy is still perfect and awesome. Definitely worth the investment (and it wasn't even that much anyway!). I also made myself a little star tree (bottom left) to fire some of the stars for my trees. Sometimes I can't fire them on the trees because I don't have the headspace. I have fired them on stilts, but then they have marks. It occurred to me to make a small little stand and it worked perfectly.
