So on our last day in Chaumont I sent Craig out on the canoe to get me lily pads. I pointed out the good ones and he collected them. On Monday I made everything I could think of lily pad related until I ran out of space.
I cut the stem as close as possible and then just roll the lily pad onto clay.
Lily pad platter
Chip and dip and some small plates
Coasters
Cups
Large bowl
Earrings and necklace sets
More plates
Finished all the sections on the way home then assembled last night. Last thing was to add the sleeves while watching Good Morning ClayShare this morning. Not my usual colors, but I'm loving it. Also loving the Crochet Every Way Stitch Dictionary. This shirt was just me learning the picot mesh pattern and then making it into a shirt.
Last night when we got home we did a tour of the garden. This might the the biggest zucchini I've every grown. Need to enter this in a fair somewhere.
Heart Hook Home had a new pattern that inspired me. The yarn is from the new yarn shop in Chaumont, NY the Chaumont Yarn House. Love how it came out.
River kept me company. Who says camp chairs are just for people.
Also made muffins this morning in my camp oven. Don't think I have ever had them come out this perfect before.
Now that I've been able to give it to my sister I can share a special project I did for her birthday. I saw a post from Spoonflower where they suggested making tea towels with recipes on it. I picked out a few of grandmas recipes and photo shopped them together. I decided to have Spoonflower print them onto quarter flats. Made a tea towel and this pillow which came out amazing.
Making some new jewelry. I started down this path before Jessica Putnam Phillips posted her new bead classes on Clayshare. Having watched those there will more coming.
Some scrafito sets
Some cut outs and transfers.
Some more transfers. Who wants a jellyfish necklace?
