My first crochet shirt design
August 25, 2021I'm not great at following crochet patterns. I always find some difference that I have to correct for or something that I don't like about the design. However, I have always used some pattern as my base - until now.
A few weeks ago I did my first yolk neck shirt worked from the neck down. I was using a yarn that gradually changed colors and I had a good amount left in the skein. I didn't want to have to worry about the colors looking weird and has this idea to make a shirt back to front. I started with the back, worked up and increased rows to add sleeves, made the neck, decreased the sleeves, and made the front. Then I just sewed up the sides and added a few rows to shape the neck. I'm really excited with how it turned out. My very first design.
